hi, i’m allison, the new zealand born creative behind brand basics, now based in beautiful southern tasmania

i started brand basics to help small businesses look polished, professional and completely themselves, without the big agency process or the big agency price

a little about me

i have a bachelor’s degree in media arts and experience across a wonderfully mixed bag of creative industries. my background includes film, print media, visual design, jewellery, photography, websites, social media and working with businesses to bring their ideas together

i’ve also travelled the world, collecting plenty of ideas and inspiration along the way. my strongest skill has always been my eye for design and my ability to see what feels right, what isn’t quite working and how all the little details can come together to create something beautiful and cohesive

i combine my creative experience with the thoughtful use of ai across social media creation, copywriting, seo, marketing research and advertising. it helps me explore ideas, research audiences, develop content, find useful keywords and take care of some of the more complicated and time consuming parts of running a brand
